Meet the Team
Mary Deitz
Mary is an intern currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Fairfield University and working toward licensure as a professional counselor. She works with adolescents and adults presenting with a range of needs including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, and other co-occurring disorders.
Mary’s counseling style is rooted in a person-centered approach that honors each client’s individuality. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices to create a flexible and supportive space for growth and healing.
Her path to counseling began with a degree in education from New York University (NYU).
While working in urban schools, she developed a passion for supporting people through life’s challenges that continues to guide her clinical work today.
Outside of her professional work, Mary enjoys reading fiction, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends.
