DR. MOHAMED ELSAMRA, MD

Dr. Elsamra, MD is the Medical Director and full time staff psychiatrist of Elevate Health & Wellness.  He is most interested and passionate about helping individuals with addiction and mood disorders. He believes that talk therapy, in conjunction with medication management can provide the necessary support for individuals to get better and live their best lives.  Dr. Elsamra has created a comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment practice that is person centered, and prioritizes getting clients seen as soon as possible to help all people, and to avoid creating further complications.

Dr. Elsamra received his medical education and specialty training at the University of Connecticut and is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in psychiatry. He spent four years as a staff supervisor at the APT Foundation and at the Yale Substance Abuse Fellowship program in New Haven, CT.  He has also served as the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of several inpatient, residential and outpatient facilities throughout his career.
